When I first heard of the VA/Online Business world I automatically thought it was a scam…
This was my honest gut reaction, because I just thought HOW could it be possible for me to:
👉🏻Work for myself
👉🏻Earn more money than I did my legal job whilst working HALF the hours
👉🏻Choose my own working hours
👉🏻Travel the world whilst doing so!
Honestly my mind was blown.
But I found some people I trusted within the industry, spoke with them and built my belief that this was actually possible (and not in fact a scam.)
And I made this lifestyle I thought couldn’t possibly be true, my reality in just four short months.
Increased my income, almost halved my working hours and started travelling full time.
For transparency I was working about 40 hours per week in my job and after tax was taking home £1500 per month.
Working just 20 hours per week as a Virtual Assistant I was making £2125 per month (before tax & expenses)
And when I upped my prices and went up to 25 hours per week, I was making £3187 per month (before tax & expenses).
Even with tax and expenses included I was working LESS hours & earning A LOT more, and travelling whilst I was doing it.
And this was just from retainer contracts, before I expanded my product suite to include strategy calls & coaching.
The economic possibilities that come with owning your own online business are INSANE. How much your earn and how much you work is completely within your control.

Does the thought of selling make you feel icky, uncomfortable, repetitive?
This is one of the biggest sticking points that comes up with my clients, and its a huge reason I see people not landing clients! How are people meant to know how amazing your offers are if you don’t sell?!
So this is exactly what I look at with my clients when they tell me they aren’t confident SELLING!
1⃣ Services/Product suite/Offers
Do you genuinely enjoy the services you offer? Do you believe that they can make a difference in your clients lives? (beyond just giving them back time). Do you understand the transformation of your offers? Do you understand how to communicate the transformation of your offer to clients through your content?
You need to answering a huge YES! To all of these questions in order to build your confidence around selling.
When you know you have an insane offer than can transform your clients business, help them land clients or achieve their goals you’ll be able to sell it!
2⃣ Mindset Blocks
What is blocking you from selling? Is it a limiting belief? Imposter syndrome? Fear of failure? Fear of success? A combination of them all?!
We will identify the mindset blocks coming up, analyse if they are true (which they often aren’t) and re-frame these blocks to be more supportive!
3⃣ Put a plan in place for them to take ACTION!
Confidence comes from action. This is true for everything, including selling! So we put a plan in place for them to take action and sell in their content & on their stories!
Action is also what is going to help you get rid of these mindset blocks!

3. They’re investing in coaching or mentorship!
While your spending months trying to figure out things on your own, that VA your looking at has been investing in her business. She’s invested in a coaching program to learn everything she needs to know about attracting clients and it’s working…

When I started my VA business, I had one main goal and that was to travel full time.
But as I took on more clients and got closer to being fully booked & closer to the date of my one-way flight to Thailand, I became really aware of some mistakes I was making that was going to make traveling and working pretty difficult!
1.Working with the wrong clients
I was attracting and working with some clients who just did not align with my goals! The clients were lovely but what they wanted from me (to be in the same time zone, to be available for engagement at specific times etc) was just not aligned with the vision I had for my business.
I knew I had to attract clients that weren’t only okay about my lifestyle, but actively encouraged and supported it, so I pivoted my approach and started connecting with other digital nomads & expats who also loved travel!
2. Back End Systems
Confession: I was building out my business with no systems in place. I was manually invoicing all my clients and creating my invoices on Canva and doing absolutely everything manually. This is not sustainable for any business, but ESPECIALLY not if you intend to travel!
I got a CRM system in place & an accounting software and I’ve never looked back. Invoices going out & clients on boarded automatically is a game changer for your business!
3. My content processes & strategy
Or should I say lack of content process & strategy…
I was just creating a lot of my content on the day & had no clear process in place. This was also made 10x worse when I didn’t have a strategy in place as I found it difficult to even come up with the content ideas!
And as a result, my content took a really bad hit when I started travelling. I dropped off completely and didn’t post for a couple of months. NOT ideal for my marketing!
But I now have a clear, smooth content process in place that makes creating content easy and my strategy ensures I NEVER run out of content ideas!

How I developed insane confidence as a Virtual Assistance who started with 0 experience.
I grew my Virtual Assistance business from 0 clients and £0 to Fully Booked and making 2-3k consistently in just 4 months. 🥰

But I kept showing up and taking action regardless of my doubts or lack of confidence!
ACTION comes before the confidence to act! 👏🏻
3. I invested into my learning!
For me, confidence also comes from knowledge and understanding so it was so important that I did this for my business. 💪
